Professional gutter cleaning in Melbourne
Blocked gutters are a small problem that turns into an expensive one. When they overflow, water gets under the roof tiles and into the building, and that shows up as rot, stained plaster, electrical trouble and, before long, pests. We clear gutters on homes, commercial buildings and high-rises across Melbourne, by vacuum and, where the roof is out of reach, by rope access.
What the service covers
We clear the lot: leaves, vegetation, sticks and general debris out of the gutters, vacuumed up and taken off-site, and every downpipe and drain checked and cleared so the water actually runs. You get before-and-after photos of the work. If a gutter is already overflowing, we run a priority or same-day call-out.
We work every roof and height, from houses to apartment blocks, schools, offices, medical buildings and warehouses. On high-rise and hard-to-reach roofs we use rope access, a Level 3 fall-control system, off certified anchors, and elsewhere we use ladders, roof access or an EWP.
Safety at height
The real risks up on a roof are falls and falling objects, so gutter work runs to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and the OHS Regulations 2017. Our crew are trained and hold Working at Heights tickets. Fall prevention comes first: passive protection like scaffolding and guardrails (Level 2) where it fits, or a work-positioning system like rope access (Level 3) where it does not, and anyone in a boom lift wears an anchored harness. A Safe Work Method Statement is written for any work with a fall risk over two metres. We carry full Public Liability Insurance.
Worth bundling
Since we are already on the roof, it is usually worth doing the roof clean, the solar panels or the windows in the same visit, and bundling two or more jobs generally takes about 10% off the package. Send us the address and we will quote the gutters.
Frequently asked questions
How often should gutters be cleaned in Melbourne?
Twice a year suits most properties, and more often where there are overhanging trees. Clearing before winter matters most: blocked gutters overflow back into the structure during heavy rain.
What happens if gutters are left blocked?
Water backs up under roof tiles and into the structure, causing waterlogging, rot, staining, electrical damage and pest infestations - all far more expensive than the clean.
How do you clean gutters on a high-rise?
With high-velocity vacuum systems and rope access where needed, so debris is removed from gutters and downpipes and taken off site rather than dropped.
Do you check downpipes as well?
Yes. Downpipes and drains are cleared and checked for flow, and we provide before and after photographs of the work.

What affects the price of gutter cleaning
Every building is quoted after we have seen it. These are the factors that move the number up or down - ask us about any of them and we will explain how they apply to your site.
| Height and access method | Rope access, elevated work platform or suspended platform - the method is chosen for the building, and it sets the crew size and setup time. |
| Surface area and condition | Heavy soiling, salt, traffic film or construction residue take longer and need specialised products. |
| Facade complexity | Recesses, angled or domed glazing, tight gaps between buildings and heritage detailing all slow the descent down. |
| Access and anchor points | Buildings with certified anchor points are quicker to set up. If there are none, temporary systems or installation are quoted separately. |
| Scheduling | Work outside trading hours, staged access or occupied tenancies affect the programme. Regular maintenance cycles are cheaper per visit than one-off jobs. |
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Where the work is subject to a compliance requirement, the quote states which standard it is carried out to.
